
Spring Gate School is a school where children can learn, feel safe and be successful.
The initial process for enrollment begins with meeting the student and parents. The school requests all pertinent information about the student be supplied (diagnostic evaluations, psychological reports, previous or current IEP, and current school records, etc.) This helps to determine appropriate placement for the child.
The school's next step is to do an academic assessment of the child to determine the appropriate instructional level. Spring Gate School addresses the "total" needs of the child, academic as well as social and life skills, when putting together the student's individualized program.
We accept students who meet the following criteria:

Students diagnosed with: ADD, ADHD, LD, CP, ASD, and MC and children who learn and process information differently |

|
Students who are least 6 years old |
|
|
Students who have independent toileting skills |
|
|
Have communication skills proficient enough to express their needs and wants |
|
|
Be able to work independently for short periods of time, (i.e.10 to 15 minutes) with a minimum of assistance |
|
|
Demonstrate appropriate in-seat behavior, according to their age and developmental ability |
It is our intention to create an atmosphere where our students can learn and grow in a safe and secure environment. Therefore, Spring Gate School can not accept students who exhibit signs of serious aggression towards their peers.
